Title: HEAT- JAZZ block Buster Post by: HeatGM on April 20, 2005, 08:12:11 PM Miami sends:
Shawn Marion Jiri Welsh for Mehmet Okur Richard Jefferson ill post my reason in a while Title: HEAT- JAZZ block Buster Post by: JazzGM-old on April 20, 2005, 08:13:27 PM agreed, can you smell dynasty?...imagine if i still had kidd
Now I can move Kirilenko to PF where his numbers are better. With Marion's 21 points a game...having Welsh as a starter doesn't hurt me, I actually improve defensively at SG (B- to B). Having marion and Kirilenko together will be nice for these next couple of years. I really liked Okur, he's great that he can play 4 or 5 with a consistent all around game, but he did have D potential and I couldn't pass up getting marion, especially when Kirilenko can play the 4 Title: dasdasd Post by: HeatGM on April 20, 2005, 08:14:55 PM i know i know...its a bad trade for me...but i dont think i can beat the mavs...i get young players and still maintain into playoffs contention....
in a year or two i can be back for the championship... jazz would be sick...Marion and kirelenko....two top defenders in SSBA :D gud luck !!! :D Title: HEAT- JAZZ block Buster Post by: BullsGM-old on April 20, 2005, 08:16:05 PM Great trade for the Jazz
Title: HEAT- JAZZ block Buster Post by: RaptorsGM on April 20, 2005, 08:16:11 PM Wow. Heat. Cannot believe you did that.
Title: sdasdas Post by: HeatGM on April 20, 2005, 08:21:31 PM honestly...i dont think i can win the championship... so the best thing that i can do is to build my team for next year.... shaq isnt the same shaq anymore...
jefferson scores 18 ppg but im expecting him to improve with damon jones' passing.... okur is a double double player...and is still young...i can have a deep bench with doleac coming of the bench.... i'm just bored i think... :D not winning the games i want to win just disappoints me... Title: HEAT- JAZZ block Buster Post by: KingsGM-old on April 20, 2005, 08:22:56 PM yeah, i was offering him mike bibby, maybe the best pointguard in SSBA for marion

I am currently: 4th in rebounding 2nd in bpg 4th in ofg% 5th in oppg I'm excited to see how these look with Marion and Welsh in the mix, my 23rd in otopg will hopefully improve. Jefferson isn't half the player Marion is. Worse offensively and not in the same league defensively. Sure, this trade might make sense in 8 years when Jefferson's 2 years younger make a different, but until then IMO it's a horrible trade. If the Jazz hadn't traded Kidd I'd say they'd be the frontrunners for the championship. Everyone's worried about saving a few years of age. Taking serious downgrades of players because of it. It's why the Jazz traded Kidd and the Heat traded Marion. And IMO they were both collosal mistakes. But hey, as an Atlantic Division resident, nice trade. Title: HEAT- JAZZ block Buster Post by: HornetsGM on April 20, 2005, 08:52:12 PM Man, awesome trade for the Jazz.
I tried pretty hard to get Marion, I thought I made some pretty good offers (better than this trade I think)... I agree with you, but I just didn't want to lose kidd while kirilenko and company were at their prime. Francis is definately a drop from kidd, but not too far, he's still a star....I think the hidden advantage was grabbing declerq, considering I'll be losing my depth I do have inside after this season. So by losing out at PG, I gained a little back at PF and even though there's still a gap talent wise...getting marion definately makes up for that and still keeps my future plans in shape. Jiri Welsh isn't a bad pickup either for this season...he's a pretty solid player for the role I'll need him...i expect him to just play decent D and hit some open shots and that's exactly where his skills are (43% career from 3 point land, 1.3+ steals with some minutes) Title: sdasdasd Post by: HeatGM on April 20, 2005, 08:56:06 PM so is the trade good?? i have to set my DC :D
Title: HEAT- JAZZ block Buster Post by: CavsGM on April 20, 2005, 08:56:53 PM AK and Marion make a very scary combo...
Title: HEAT- JAZZ block Buster Post by: NetsGM on April 20, 2005, 09:03:02 PM I won't process the trade until tomorrow when I do the DC's.
You've got all the tools to find out if the trade works. Use the tradechecker and the transactions chart on the rules page to find out of the players are eligible to be traded. Title: HEAT- JAZZ block Buster Post by: MagicGM on April 20, 2005, 09:31:19 PM Jerold! AMP ng trade mo! AMP! :D
Title: HEAT- JAZZ block Buster Post by: HawksGM on April 20, 2005, 09:33:41 PM great trade for the Jazz....they now have a dynasty set up, i think it's a mistake by the Heat becaue I think they could beat the Mavs...Jazz are very very very scary now....with my impotent offense i won't score 40 on them
Title: HEAT- JAZZ block Buster Post by: NetsGM on April 20, 2005, 09:36:19 PM especially since their all-nba defenders both play at your best scorers positions :)

BECAUSE HE"S BEEN RAPED. Title: HEAT- JAZZ block Buster Post by: JazzGM-old on April 21, 2005, 12:41:17 PM in heat gm's defense, jefferson still has B potential and has been playing pretty well..., although he may never meet marion's standards, I think if he's a good assit for a team set to rebuild for a post-shaq era, getting jefferson and okur with nice, reasonable contracts for a couple years down the road....I think it's nice that he gets 2 positions that will be consisent for him down the road and each player can play 2 positions for him which makes it easier to mold a team.
Title: HEAT- JAZZ block Buster Post by: RaptorsGM on April 21, 2005, 12:43:11 PM Sixers- I deleted the long post. Waaay too annoying.
