Title: Sim 8 discussion Post by: CelticsGM on November 23, 2009, 04:28:00 PM here we go with some brand new action
Marquez Embry (Blazers) is out for 6 days. Nosey stuff ... (71) Mareese Speights (Lakers) is gone for 8 with wrist troubles (73) Billy Moiso (Magic) is out 5 (74) Carson Rubini (Warriors) is down for 6 days (75) Chuckster (Pacers) sprained his knee. Out 7 (75) Thunder Dan (Suns) blurred his vision, sidelining him for 9 days (76) John Boy Stockton (Clips) will heal his broken finger in 8 days. Amazing ... (77) Antonio Davis (Bucks) is down for 5 (78) Now that's a REALLY short list, so don't complain. Who's hot, who's not? Trev's Raptors (and news on trev?) are going 9-1 winning 7 straight and counting. Just a half game behind the Pistons for league supremacy, with the Magic just a step behind. The Kings, Mavs, Suns, and (cpu led) Spurs battle a tight race for the Western lead. All open there ... and it's still amazing that the 12 ranked East (Cavs) would make the top 7 out West. So enjoy the results, and discuss ... Title: Re: Sim 8 discussion Post by: MagicGM on November 23, 2009, 06:08:22 PM Tried a new lineup this sim considering the 4-game stretch. Terrible. Ri-damn-diculous.

Correction: you did NOT try a new lineup. Same in your DC were starters, 4 of the 5 primary backups, offensive options and game settings (at least I don't consider it a lineup change when you replace one 2nd stringer and two 3rd string positions). In fact you play the same starters, options and game settings since the beginning of the season, so how about stopping to constantly lament and try some real change ... for a change ... :lol2: Title: Re: Sim 8 discussion Post by: MagicGM on November 24, 2009, 05:44:23 AM True that but you have to consider that my changes were actually of players who are still projects and played all my 4 games.

Title: Re: Sim 8 discussion Post by: CelticsGM on November 24, 2009, 09:15:14 AM Finally a good sim for the Celtics.
Played 7 games at home and won the first 6 of them (and the final loss against the Rockets was heartbreaking, twice in the final minute we had a chance to take the lead ...). Otherwise beat the Magic, Suns, Spurs, so we can play with the big boys - at least at home. Moved within striking distance of the playoffs and start to get a feel for my team. :D |
