Considering that I played my rookies heavy minutes I'm happy with 3-3 to start.  I needed them to get some floor time so I could evaluate them before the 2nd sim when I play 10 games.  Second youngest team in the league and played 3 road games in 3 nights.  So as I said I'm happy with a .500  record.

Good enough for the 8th seed in the west.   Razz

How can you not play your rookies heavy minutes? You're whole team is rookies! Smile

No, only half of it.  Laughing

I have already planned changes for the next sim.  Kittles & West will come off the IR and a couple rookies will go on it.  But I wanted to get some stats so I can evaluate which rookies to play.  Also the few vets I have will see more floor time.

It's up now.

I'm gonna have to make a few tweaks. Boozer only got 27.6 minutes, which is crazy.

Finley shot the ball great.

Those boxscores are a relief, the 3-6 record doesn't seem as bad.  I lost to the Nets twice and the Kings once, that was expected.  I lost a close one to the Nets, and Ferry detroyed me vs the Pistons (39 points, hes averaging 27 for the year Shocked ).  I beat 2 quality teams in the Wiz and Kings.

Mercer is averaging 22/9/4 with 3 spg  Smile

7-0?  Wow.  Especially nice since I went 4-0 on the road, after I was terrible there last year.

On day 7, in the 5th game of the season against the Griz, Ray Allen messed around and (almost) got a triple double.  Final game stats: 54 points, 9 boards, 9 dimes.

Then, three days later against the Rockets, he drops 39 with 10 rebounds and 10 assists.  He took home 4 POG awards, and only lost out on a 5th due to Redd knocking down a higher percentage.

I'm pretty pleased thus far.

Eastern Conference Musings:

Glad to give the heat their only loss.

That's amazing from Petit.

And DANIELS. 18,8,5. I can't believe he's worth 18ppg at C, B offense.

AMARE   Shocked 33 and 12. On a losing team though.

Expected better things from Dwight Howard after a fantastic TC.

Wow. Sixers were awful. Too bad.

Oscar Ferry. Oh my goodness. WTG Pistons. I traded that pick for Boozer.

Cavs PG situation haunts them.

I was able to retrieve the boxscores  Exclamation

Pettit:  Shocked

28.8 pts, 6 boards, 4.8 assists, 2.7 steals, 48.7% shooting, 84.7% fg, 56.8% 3pt.

Not only is he putting up bigtime stats, but he's doing so at an incredible efficiency.  As a rookie #1 option.

I'm going out on a limb, but I think this kid could be something special Smile

Emeka a "quiet" 21.3 pts, 12 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 3.1 blocks.

biggest surprise of course is Daniels.  I was expecting 12-13 pts and 7 assists.  17.6 pts, 5.4 boards, 8.1 dimes, 2.6 steals to only 1.9 turns.  Actually a little low on the assist to turnover ratio than I expected ("only" 4.3/1).  But if he puts in 17/8 I'm almost unbeatable.  I put him as the 3rd option (for the first time in his career) and he really responded.

Of course, when you have two players combining to score 50.1 pts, probably the best inside/outside combo in the game with a 2 guard that can create and distribute, Daniels probably hasn't had a contested shot all year.

Top 2 offensive options combine for 50.1 ppg (top 3 for 67.7).  My starting pf/c each average over 11 rebounds and 3 blocks/game, combining for 23 rebounds and 6.1 blocks nightly.  My starting backcourt average 46.4 pts and 12.9 dimes nightly.

And all the while I'm scoring 101.1 ppg and only giving up 88.8.  That 88.8 ppg is the 4th in the league, scary because I'm playing at a fast pace Smile.  Opponents only shooting 40.6% against me (3rd in the league) and I'm forcing 16.7 to's/game (3rd in the league).

Even I wasn't expecting this much success.

Okafor and Pettit's first game together they combined for 77 points (40 for Okafor, 37 for Pettit) and 11 assists (7 for Pettit and 4 for Okafor).

Western Conference Musings:

Nuggs  Shocked That's a great team. Damn, I think they are better than me.

Peja at PF, my goodness. 26 and 7.

Spurs PPG -84.7 Yuck.

The CLIPPERS.
6-1

The Suns are bad again.  Rolling Eyes

Bottom Line: Alot of players putting up huge numbers for bad teams.
