Hi,

Any chance we can speed up the 2nd round of the draft..?

Like can we all just put in huge lists for our pick and run the damn thing. Don't mean to bitch but the 2nd round is the most tedious time of my life... not SSBA career... LIFE! Do we really have to wait 2 days just to find out who Mr. Irrelevant will be... some jerk with D potential and maybe a B- somewhere...

My proposal:

Trade your picks whatever but as soon as the 2nd round starts we just blitz it...

PLease, please, please...

Dude has a bit of a point. The offseason in SSBA kills me every year, we do things at a snail's pace.

But RocketsGM, my friend, have patience - I anticipate the offseason will get a whole lot quicker and smoother when Bods gets his website up and running.

Bods' idea sounds fantastic - I'm commishing in RBSL atm, and I have a great appreciation now for the time and effort it takes to run; so I would have an even greater appreciation for the time and effort his modifications would save.

Can't help but agree though, even two days for the second round would be great.

i'm doing two days in DSJL now. pick 31-40 on day 1 and the rest on day 2

but since you have almost exclusively cpu picks after day 40 i will change to a 1-day second round this season, where you can still get in lists but have a day more to prepare for free agency.

I have shortened it to three days:

Picks #1 - 8
Picks #9 - 16
Picks #17 - 29
and now Picks #1-29 round 2

I used to do round 1 in 2 days, but especially for the top picks it makes sense to give it another day.

This is the first time I've been involved in a league who does 5 picks/day for the first three days, and I think I like it.

It allows for more trade activity, you don't have to hope for someone to drop out of the top 10 in order to take a run at making a deal to move up in the draft.

Two days for the 2nd round would be just fine though.

It was before your time, but we did four days for the first round back in the earlier days of RBSL, but guys wanted to shorten the off-season and the consensus was to do 1-10 on the same day.
