Title: TBD purchase to remove restriction?
Post by: WizardsGM on February 13, 2008, 01:05:05 PM
I have this in my leagues as a form of spending team bank money, and wondered what the thought is here. Basically you have a set dollar amount (likely the same as a salary exception) to remove a trade restriction on a player (cant be traded due to FA signing; cant be packaged due to recent trade) so that the deal can go through sooner and we dont have all of these "Day 41/51" trades.

What are the thoughts of the GMs & Commishes here?

i'm not a big fan of the 60-day rule either, but we have it here and I live with it. There are usually workarounds not having to wait, it just asks for a little more creativity.

But the one really bugging me is the 60d wait after FA signings, especially on days 2-5. I'd like to see that handled like every other wait period, with the player being able to be traded alone (and still unlimited for 24 hrs)

I too hate the wait and would be all for it...I hate how I have to play 25 games this season with Chuck and Schader even though I dealt them before the first game!
