Take care.
2  League Information / General Managers / Clippers GM resigns on: January 18, 2008, 10:00:26 AM
Hey guys,

I have decided to step down as a GM of the Los Angeles Clippers. It was a tough decision and it does not feel good. But I feel I have to be honest with the league and myself. I just don't have the time for this anymore. My life is very busy and when I do get some time off, I like to do some other things for the moment.

I will still stop by and see how things are going once in a while. And when I ever get more time, I will check if there is a team without a GM...

I want to thank all of you for giving me a great time in SSBA. I have really had a lot of fun with you guys. Keep up this great league! I will stop by.

Bram

ps: I hope there will be a good GM to take over the Clippers! Smile

The offers for Thompson were not good enough. He is still on the market, but the offer needs to be really good!

Same for Brendan LaFrentz. He could be dealt, but has to be a nice offer (lottery picks, young guns).

Hiscock since coming to the Clippers is playing great in limited minutes. He could be dealt, but he would be the only player sent out by me because I just got him. He is still only 21 and is a very good player. He could go for a matching expiring plus 1st round pick.

No one on the team is untouchable.

Entertaining offers for him. I want to see what is on the market.

Looking for young guns (age 19-23) and lottery picks... mark the word 'guns'. Thompson is not going anywhere for nothing.

To fill the Clippers roster back to 12 guys, management signs Justin Bass to a 1 year minimum contract. Just some money to make sure the guy gets food on the table... a kind of christmas gift to the Bass family.

Clippers trade:
Sura and Szczerbiak

Blazers trade:
Hiscock and 2024 first round draft pick

Clippers agree... however I find it a very weird experience that Blazers is sending me Hiscock.  Laughing

Eek3!

Wow... I honestly don't remember all that. But the best was all the way in the beginning where I traded for Gordon and Chandler. That trade started the great Clipper years.
Worst... don't remember. It was not terribly bad, but I did regret trading Livingston for Childress.

Btw... I think I should nominate some Clipper players for the hall of fame sometime.
