C - Yao
PF - Dirk Nowitzki
SF - Shawn Marion
SG - Garrett Pettitt
PG - Nicklaus English

Let that starting five run all day long, and you'll be just fine.

I don't see why anyone wouldn't have Yao on their team.

Yao
Emeka
Dirk
Petit
Hinrich

I wouldn't want 4 30+ scorers on my team. Just too much stars and offenive power, and only 1 ball. Duncan & Okafor would be match made in heaven. A perfect frontcourt. I wouldn't want anything else.

Emeka over Dirk mainly for defense and rebounding.  Dirk's a far superior offensive player, and provides a nice inside/outside combo.  But with Marion, Yao and Pettit, I need someone who can be effective even when plays aren't being run for him.

That's also why I chose Livingston over some higher scoring pg's.  Even when he's not scoring he has an A assists and an A- defense

Yep, that's the same reason i would pick him. In a team like that, you don't need your pg to score. All you need is a passing machine who plays defense, and Livingston is just that.

Well, the top starting 5 in my opinion would be

Yao (as the 1st option)
Emeka (his defense and rebounding make him the only choice)
Marion (defense and rebounding, although Dirk and Lebron could slide in the spot easily, imo)
Pettit (Only 1 weakness (to's), and it would go away as a 2nd or 3rd option)
Hinrich (over Livingston because of his higher shooting percentages, 2nd or 3rd option)

Right. Duncan over Yao. Notice how so many people agree with you.

Top 5:

Yao
TD
Marion
Petit
Livingston

I believe that all these 5 guys would be hall of famers once they retire.

That does not mean he is wrong.
TD: 30.4 ppg, 13.3 rpg, 3.5 apg, 3.1 bpg, 48.6%
Yao: 33.9 ppg, 13.1 rpg, 2.3 apg, 3.2 bpg, 52.2%

TD is very capable.  The argument could be made that if TD was playing with Leocadia Garcia and Darius Perry in his starting lineup he'd be averaging 33.9 ppg as well.

TD is capable...  But Yao is also leading the league in FG%, while at the same time leading in scoring.  He is also a better free throw shooter then Duncan.

That is why you pick Yao over Duncan.

Yao has got 35 ppg with Hoffa in the lineup. And Yao is playing with 3 other 13ppg players.

So after Yao, the other top 3 players average 40.8ppg. After TD, the other top 3 averaged 44.2. Not that big of a difference. Plus TD plays with Tskalidis in his lineup.
