As we all know, after the departure of their long time franchise players AI and TD, the sixers have been struggling for these past few years.

Luckily for them, its about to end.

For these past 3 years sixers was propelled by their incredible luck. It started when the sixers got number one pick overall, and drafted promising player in Tyler. Tyler, who was compared to a "poor man's C-webb" by their GM during their drafted, was immediately the team's cornerstone. And as predicted, with his amazing all around talents, he ended up winning that year's rookie of the year.

The next year, sixers drafted Benett Fuqua. Fuqua, known for his inside scoring, defense and rebounding. Was drafted after the departure of several sixers' frontcourt player. He is drafted based on BPA and Team needs. On the same year, sixers was lucky to have signed Trevor Wells. Trevor Wells, was the leading scorer of the Knicks Squad. Trevor Wells, has also have very sound basketball skills. His all around game, and outstanding scoring ability was a good fit of the young sixers squad. But unluckily that year, even with the help of both players, sixers did continue to struggle.

This year, the sixers management team was surprised that Toby Bolinger asked for only a small amount of money. Not the type of money SixersGM was expecting. And because of that, sixers is left with a large amount of money, thirteen million dollars.

With the draft, SixersGM appointed his mischievous assistant to draft for him. The next day the assistant was fired because he was caught stoned during draftday. And the sixers drafted Goudin, a player who is better off in the FA market. GOudin was compared to Primo Brezec, a solid scorer but has yet to prove that he's a good rebounder and defender.

During the FA signings, the SixersGM was reported to have accidentally mislook at Juan Ward. Actually he said: "If only I did see Juan Ward from day 1, I would have offered him the entire 13million dollars." Well, who would blame him? Juan Ward is a very good basketball player. He is a pure scorer (18ppg), good versatile player (6rpg and 4apg), and very good defender (.6bpg pretty good for his height and position.) Because of this incident, sixers did offer Jaime Ruiz, a brazillian guy who is compared to Nene Hillario. Given the opportunity, he's a good post defender and a double double guy. He's reported to start for the center spot for the sixers. In the end, sixers offered 7m for Ruiz and 6m for Juan Ward. "I just hope that it would compensate for our bad draft." - SixersGM

This season, with the kind of competition we have in this league, the Sixers do not expect the sixers to be one of the top teams in the league. But we certainly expect from improvement. The Sixers believe that they have the depth and the versatily to go distance. A distance which they all have longed for so many years. As Sixers GM said in his recent statement: "The journey of a thousand miles starts with a single step, we are ought to take that step this year."

Nice article.

Good luck on the season, hope for your fortunes to change for the better.
A playoff berth for the Sixers would be the biggest accomplishment, but you'd have to kick out some pretty good team doing it.
 Cheers
